Setting Up Zapier for Outbound Calls

Automatically trigger outbound calls from Pod agents when leads submit forms, sign up, or take action in your apps via Zapier.

Zapier Outbound Integration

Pod integrates with Zapier to help you automate outbound call workflows — for example, triggering an outbound call to a new lead as soon as they submit a form on your website.

You can either:

  • Use the official Pod Zapier integration, available in the Zapier app directory

Generating a Pod API Key

Some Zapier integrations and all webhook configurations require a Pod API key.

1

Go to the API Keys tab

Visit https://www.callpod.ai/dashboard/settings/api-keys
Or from the Dashboard, click SettingsAPI Keys.

2

Generate a new key

Click Generate API Key and copy it securely. You’ll need this when authenticating Pod in Zapier.

3

Store your key securely

Treat your API key like a password — do not share it publicly.

Using the Pod Zapier Integration

1

Search for Pod on Zapier

Zapier Search

Visit https://zapier.com/apps and search for “Pod”. Select the official Pod app when creating your Zap.

2

Create a new Zap

Zapier Create Zap

Choose a trigger app (e.g. Webflow, Typeform, Calendly, HubSpot) and select a trigger event (like “Form Submitted” or “New Contact”).

3

Authorize Zapier to use Pod

Zapier Authorize Pod

When you create a Zap, Zapier will ask you to authorize Pod to use your account.

4

Set Pod as the action

Zapier Select Make Call

For the action step, choose the Pod app and select Make Call.

5

Create your action

Zapier Create Action

Match fields from the trigger to fields required by Pod — like name, phone number, or reason for call.

6

Test and publish your Zap

Run a test to verify the connection, then publish your Zap to go live. From now on, every time the trigger fires, Pod will initiate an outbound call.
