Setting up a Phone Number for Your Agent via Twilio
Learn how to import your Twilio number into Pod and assign it to an agent.
Import Your Twilio Number
Go to the Phone dashboard
Visit https://www.callpod.ai/dashboard/phone to access the Phone Numbers dashboard.
Select 'Import phone'
Click the Import phone button to begin the setup.
Name your phone number
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Refund Support or Sales Line).
Enter the phone number
Type in the full Twilio phone number you want to connect.
Log into Twilio
Open https://console.twilio.com and locate the Account Info section on the main dashboard.
Copy your Twilio Account SID
Copy the Account SID and return to the Pod dashboard to paste it into the form.
Copy your Twilio Auth Token
Copy the Auth Token from Twilio and paste it into the corresponding field in the Pod dashboard.
Once submitted, your Twilio phone number will appear in your dashboard and can be assigned to agents.
Assign the Phone Number to an Agent
Select your agent
In the dashboard, choose the agent you'd like to assign a phone number to.
Go to the Setup tab
Inside the agent’s profile, click on the Setup tab.
Select the Phone tab
Navigate to the Phone section within Setup.
Choose the phone number
Pick the Twilio phone number you imported from the dropdown menu.
Save your changes
Click Save to complete the connection. You can now dial the number and verify it’s connected to your agent.
